With both coordinators I've had I get called every time I'm dispatched on a load.

 

I used to get calls for that but not anymore. Have you thought about asking them not to call for that purpose? I would see it benefiting them also, I'm sure you're not the only driver on their list. Lol

 

I had one as well. I called the broker and he told me it was not necessary and it was up to me if I wanted to do it. And yes they can track you on the Qualcomm if you use one.

 

I like my coordinator. About the only time he calls is if im driving and a good load comes up that he wants to tell me about. There were a lot more calls in the beginning but now that he has a feel for what ill haul and what i wont it really isnt a problem.

Im kind of nervous about getting a different coordinator when i switch to flats.

 

Yeah, your coordinator should get a feel for you over time and call you less. My first coordinator called a bunch for the first two weeks or so, after that we hardly talked. At that point, most of the loads he called me about, I took, but I usually booked my own freight. My coordinator now will call me every now and then about dumb loads, but usually she refuses those for me. She does call about mediocre loads, but she sets my preferences so tight and I am usually booked a week out so that doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes I talk to her everyday, sometimes we go weeks without talking.

 

I could definitely use that.

 

Have any of you guys that have been home recently received your permit package in the mail?

 

They just mailed it out Friday supposedly
