I had that on mine. Loss of some power. They tried to tighten it but the thread stripped on the block. I would have ran it a long time like that.

 

Yeah but if that breaks its gonna put a lot of stress on the other bolts. Once they bolts are out they gotta be replaced it says don't reuse them at all lol. Might just let it ride for another month or two and see what happens idk
Should add i think the Gasket is broken the bolts look rusty but none are moving by hand

 

I would make the money now then in January when rates suck fix it.

 

Anyone get permits yet? Mercer confirmed they did get sent out last Friday. Still haven't gotten mine and my mail box is in Indiana, can't imagine even with holiday mail it taking over a week to go less than 300 miles.

 

My last truck had an isx and exhaust manifold gasket replaced at dealer was just under 900

 

Thats insane. Loosen the exhaust clamp on the turbo and pull the exhaust out of the way. Then take out the studs on the manifold. Knock off any rust with a wire brush, put the gasket in place and tighten it all back up. On a pre egr engine its an afternoon job. Even with all the extra crap on the newer engines it shouldn't take more than a full day and under a hundred bucks for a new gasket and studs.

Yep. Gasket and couple a new studs with 6 hrs labor. I about #### but i also didnt feel like doing it myself.

 

I would do it at the house but I heard they are famous for breaking
