Heat them with a torch first. And if it doesnt come loose don't force it. Bolts break cause people don't take the time to get them out without breaking them. Seriously you can dig an engine out of a 50 year old pile of salt and i can get it apart without breaking a single bolt nut or stud. Just most bolts aren't cost effective to take the time when you can just buy a new one for a buck.

Lots of heat and slowly work it back and forth and ANY bolt will come out. Get it so hot its cherry red And almost at the melting point, then put a good six point socket on. Go easy, if it doesnt give with enough force to over cone the proper torque spec, try tightening, then back it out tilll it tightens up again, Then thread it back in. Heat again and repeat. Remember its about the threads being rusted up, not the actual bolt shank. Basically you are going in and out to clean the area between the threads. Once you get them all out take the extra 30 minutes and use a good die set to clean the threads in the block. Then apply never sieze on the new studs so next time they come right out.

About 2 weeks ago Mercer office in Virginia beach cancelled my load with no explanation.

This week the Mercer Baltimore office didn't pay for the detention that it added to my confirmation.

I'm putting Mercer in the same category as TQL and not hauling any more loads.

You will have the whole manifold off so replace them all. Besides they form to the manifold when you torque it down, very likely you won't get it back in the exact same spot, be off by a thousandth of an inch and you got a leak with an old gasket.

Wow. That's a lot for a couple gaskets 12 studs bolts and nuts. You need to find a better supplier for parts.

5 gaskets at 16 each. 12 bolts 6 each 9 spacers 9 each. Freightliner in Joplin was same price. Gotta run to town later to get 3 more spacers for the bolts.
