I'm sitting 57 miles from delivery. Didn't have enough time to get there or they would of unloaded me today. Going to do an 8 on split log to get there by 0130 to get unloaded. They want all trucks out by 0500 to deal with the snow. I foresee a quick and dirty tarp removal. I hope I don't have any snow on top using every bit of my 8ft lumber tarps. Once I'm unloading I'm heading west. Load or no load.

On all of them that I've been around, the valve was grounded at the trailer. I always had 12 volts running thru the switch to the plug and to the valve. I also always wired a light and a buzzer at the toggle

You could ground it to the frame of the trailer and it should then ground to the truck via the fifth wheel. Year's ago every fifth wheel had a copper strap from the plate to the frame. It worked fine.

I heard last year they bought a mexican carrier so they can move their own stuff across the borders. Didnt think they were leaving the crossing areas though.

After 12 hours my self and 2 other Mercer drivers are finally loaded, 8 foot tarped. What a nightmare this has been. Chicagoland bound.

Rickp and Highway Sailor Thank this.

Those are swift owned trucks based in the border trade zone. driven by Mexican drivers that live in Mexico, or Mexican immigrants on this side of the border. Swift and celadon are two American carriers i know of that have a mexico fleet. I'm sure some of the other megas do as well.
