I tried lol mine said anything only took them 5 mins to unload the 12 pallets so guess it's not too much of a big deal. They really should add signs though.

If you're Bob tailing you shouldn't need not for hire on it. At least I didn't have it when I bobtailed from Georgia to Oklahoma.

That's a long way bobtailing, drive safe on those winter roads. I bounced from Mt to Louisville back in Jan of 89, but I was dragging an empty wagon.

    Like I said, bobtail safe.

I didnt register mine before orientation. Just put the not for hire sign in the window but i left from utah. They warned me not to go through az, nm or co like that. If you dont have a twic card they will take you to get one. All you actually need for orientation is the receipt that that shows you applied for it. Bring hard copies of everything... title, purchase docs, birth cert etc. And make sure you do the video ordientations ahead of time..They take hours.

I believe it's still on the south side off of Franklin Rd. Even though I live 2 miles from there I haven't driven by in awhile.

thanks for the replies, I already have my twic card and did the videos! Also, 8 brand new drive tires that will probably help the bobtail trip.

Thanks again. I am excited, I put 15k down on a 70k 2015 kw t680 and have a 1400 dollar monthly truck payment. I shouldn't end up in the hole. I have exactly 1 year OTR experience, I just couldn't handle being a company driver and being told how to wipe my ###. If this doesn't work out I can always be an Uber driver and make more money than a company driver. lol the mega-carriers can go to hell.

Just don't be afraid to ask questions, ask for help, & take advice. This is a lot different than being a company driver & if you're not making money you're pretty much the only thing to blame. I pull a van & I will help all I can if you need it. We've got some good mentors (from what I hear) for you to lean on also.
