Must've been special load. Average load from NC to CA is $3800 with a couple drops. And no, I don't need a better coordinator or better negotiating skills. You're not listening, there is other freight that pays as good or better. No need to haul forklifts.

 

When I deliver Monday I'll have done $4975 on 3200 miles in 10 days. One load weighed 13k lbs & the other is 7700 lbs. During that 10 days I had 2.5 days off in NY & I'll be home tomorrow at dinner & leave Monday morning to deliver. I didn't pull any forklifts and I went from Texas to NY & back to Texas. The loads served their purpose & put money on the bank.

 

Nobody said you can't make money pulling Van lol idk why you feel the need to always get upset when someone critiques the van division.. You did 1.55 that week ok that's OK considering fuel went up you have a truck payment anf trailer payment. But many others aren't doing that good.. Hence why the list to switch is out the wazoo.. Most people don't want to run 3200 miles.. So as I've stated you have to run for your money..I give people the good and the bad of everything.. Not just the good. But you posted some other place that you average 1.35-1.45.. that's not good at all especially if you're running 3000 miles for it

 

No, you said THE ONLY WAY to make money pulling a van was to run coast to coast & pull forklifts & was showing that is not true.

I only get upset when people give out false info. I average about 2200-2300 miles a week. I ran 3200 this week but like I said, I was on a personal mission. At one time I was only averaging $1.35-$1.45 a mile. Rates are up a little & I've learned the lanes that pay good.

You can use one strap. I have had it in my mind to buy some myself but I've been thinking about it for several years now. For shingles they are good when you have several bundles going one direction and one going the other way. Now on the first and last pallet you will still need two straps.

 

Is that out of Summit or Ohio location? Hopefully they let you do like TMCs dedicated drivers and cut to the front of the line so you get in and out fast.

Ive hauled 3 or 4 in my life. Takes several years to forget how much i hate em then someone talks me into one.
