Looking at the picture and that plastic ring I’m with you 3 or 4 pieces of strap stacked up would have been plenty of protection

On your ratchet binders, get them fairly snug and the wack the edge protector with a hammer or rubber mallet. On snap binders this doesn't work as well, but I always try to have my chain at an "X" as it goes across the edge protector to keep the links from snagging on it, if that makes sense.

I was looking at in as a whole monthly $612x4= $2448 plus trailer payment is $720 ( don't recall exact number ) plus plates etc etc. Probably around 3400 a month... That's hefty IMO. But if it works for him and he feels he can manage it that's all that matters.

Its actually worse than that. Everyone over looks that only one month has 4 weeks in it. The other have 2 and 3 additional days. 52 weeks a year, its 13 4 week periods.

You're absolutely right.. That's why I left Mercer the first time.. Them weekly payments are very heavy. You have no room to sit a couple days or you'll be in the hole

I was just told by my coordinator that no one, no matter who you are or how long you have worked woth mercer, can book more than 1 load.

I am curious what strings you are pulling.
