The load I’m on called me Friday afternoon saying the rigger can’t show till 2pm. Of course I had a pickup appt at 2pm 150 miles away. The agent got my pickup appt changed to later tonight and got the rate on this load bumped to $3.23 a mile. Now to watch the snow melt for another hour and a half.

 

I miss my generator idling at nights suck. My mpg is so far down lol

 

Anyone thinking about loading at OC in Kearney, NJ plan on a long wait. So many trucks they have you going around the north building's to stage. Then they call you by phone to check in and stage in the normal lanes.

 

I thought my buddy in truck ops quit or got a new position at Mercer he hasn't called for a while until today.... . Calls today with his famous speech "I got a customer with a HOT load that needs moved" Ok... I'm all ears what have you got buddy? 550 miles dead head #46,000 picking up going to Texas.... $1.50 a mile. HUH????? LOL, that isn't paying "Needs Moved" rate... Texas is rather dead right now also. Sorry bud, no can do. Past month or two its been some lady calling me with needs moved loads, they must switch up or something LOL.
