Pretty sure both are required.

 

Last year I went thru a NY dot inspection. He had me test my city horn and not my air horns.

 

Compared to a new tripak they aren't expensive. especially considering how the onan has a proven track record of lasting basically forever with no more maintenance than an oil change on occasion.

 

That's a head gasket. Not sure why they call it an onion skin. Have never heard anyone call it that.

If I wasn't so cheap I would just run a toggle to my horn but i would rather fix it the right way.

 

Crazy, I was taught it was both.... but I'm finding out over time, a lot of what I was taught was not actual law. Go figure.

 

I got a short in my city horn and im not in the mood to mess with it anymore.. I gotta take the whole dash apart just to trace a wire to see whats going on FML

 

Is using zipties to hold my air filter in a DOT violation lol?
