I think you explained it the way I remember. Tell me if this is correct.
Indiana, I think was about 11 cents on that surcharge and a total of 27 cents, including that charge at the pump. If you bought the fuel there, they kept that 11 cents and applied the rest to IFTA. If you bought the fuel somewhere else, you were still charged 27 cents, but now it was only for gallons burned. These numbers may be incorrect and are for demo purposes only.
Indiana no longer has a surcharge on diesel. All included in IFTA.
Kentucky and Virginia still have one.
Nobody else has one at this time.

Indiana confuses me if I remember on the breakdown at the pump there is a disclaimer that the new tax does not apply to ifta.....i.m not sure I just top off in il and call it a day
-
But then again, I just look for my cheapest fuel since we don't need to worry about it anyway.CJndaTruck Thanks this. -
And something else that sucks about Indiana. Looks as though they raised total tax on fuel, now they're raising tolls for trucks and their ####ing toll roads suck. WTF!

KY and VA the only surcharge states left.
IFTA, Inc. -
The disclaimer at the pump is about regular sales tax. If you don't have a valid dot number filed with the truck stop they will add sales tax to the pump price. -
