Central air should be the same as central heat... Throughout the home...

What type of furnace is in the house?

 

All i know about its in 1 room(the laundry room) and the home inspector says it doesn't have a heat pump so it won't push the heat thru out the house but its Electric.

 

Buy another house.

 

We prob are we made an offer but will back out if they won't upgrade the system. The home inspector said the AC system was ran with no filter and doesn't even cool. Its 13 years old also so time for a new one anyway.

 

You can get a new ac unit with a heatpump for well under 5k. If all the hvac is in good shape you coulid offer a bid 5k under what you otherwise were willing to pay.

 

Thats not the only issue that was found just part of it. Another major one we can't find the Septic tank and health Department has no records of one being there. But yet the whole street is Septic and water company confirms its Septic. So waiting on proof from Seller that he got the permits when he had it built.

 

It's already getting better.

 

My house doesn't have a heat pump and I have heat in every room. A heat pump isn't used like a water pump. It's a different way to heat the house instead of a furnace.

 

Its in the laundry room cause they used the dryer!! Lol!

 

If they didnt use a filter, be prepared for some nasty #### in the ductwork as well
