I got 8 new Yokohama drivers at Boss Shop ( Pilot ) for $2800 couple months ago. That's with casing credit. Not bad.

I Think when that cap blew it somehow hit my apu fan on the bottom. Today my APU fan isn't kicking in to cool the coolant:(

I learned many years ago, recaps are the most expensive OTR tire you can buy.

You may be right, we'll see. Lots of people and companies use them. It will only take once for me to learn it if it's a mistake.

A lot of companies use them because they only look at the price of front right when the tires purchased

Big difference between running a company with a couple thousand trucks and a single truck operation.

Say there's a 5% greater risk of a recap blowing vs virgin rubber. A big company can take that extra risk. The potential damage and down time is not gonna hurt them as bad, and the cost savings spread out over the rest of the fleet may make up for the few that go down.

With just one truck, that risk may not be worth it. A blown tire can cause other damage, putting the truck down for a few days. So now that 5% chance of losing thousands of dollars in revenue, plus repair costs, doesn't seem too attractive.

JMO, but that's the way I look at it.

Yeah these came with my truck. But they are starting to crack and what not in spots. I run them at 110 with crosfires on the drives so i know the PSI was fine. the crossfires worked good on the blow out :D
