I suppose I kind of forget certain details when figuring mpgs. I kust started computing them when I got into this rig. That's why you guys make the big money, and I'm just a hopeful haha.

I dislike Tmc, but until I find a rig I really want, I just gain knowledge from you boys, and crawl around the Midwest haha.

I recommend using www.mygauges.com its free to track your mpg. The best way is using thd odometer and fill up gallons, I've got my truck to average 7.54mpg for the last 90 days I got the FASS sitting in the living room waiting on the return line kit and pre order for the fleet air filter for the dd15, by end of December my mpg should be 8.0mpg average if not next summer it will be when I replace my drives with super singles and install the FlowBelow some time in the spring with 8 wheel covers and I got a Order of Kremlite coming in soon so I can build a custom air splitter and air dam.. 8+mpg will be nice with a flatbed

 

new to mercer does anybody know anything about the UPS loads what they pay is it a pain in the but any info would be helpful

 

Read back a few posts from around October I posted my buddy's package info he started running it sunday night its pretty straight forward only thing he went and did was get his doubles and triples, he seems to only be running at night I guess the downside he won't be home for thanksgiving and he says he might miss Christmas the package I think ends December 24th

I think it's FilterKleen. And I would give it a big recommendation except for the top cap will leak sometimes. But it really does a good job of cleaning the oil up.

 

The UPS loads pay pretty well considering almost no deadhead and everyload is out and back on same trip. I think currently $1.94 mile. and just drop and hook.

The down side, is you don't know where your going till the load is ready to go out the door and loads are almost always 2-5 hours late kicking out.
Line haul so all over nighters. All very tight schedules, can veryly run it legal.
Everyone has to check in at the guard shack, red phone dispatch, Carrier dispatch, and Mercer dispatch upon arrivial and departure at every stop. Just annoying because constantly on the phone to 4 different departments. Probably nice if one has the wife or codriver to do it for you.

But the money is pretty good for pulling their trailers
Also pulling doubles can really cut your fuel economy.

 

$1.97-2.02/mi. Plus toll allowance if you have toll roads on youre route.
