That was basically my thought. Will be a nice change of pace, and it's not like I'm running for 1.30. Absolutely no dead head on the other end, makes it, while not a good load, it's not a terrible load either.

I promise you, carrier does not manufacture that compressor. They do what everyone does, they buy it from a manufacturer and brand it as their own. Read the tag, get the part number, and call some part stores. Fleetpride, truck pro, even frieghtliner. you can even do a Google search for online ac part warehouses.

Pete, we've had this conversation before, why do you continue to throw money away by insisting on shopping exclusively at truck and engine brand dealers?

    Cat sdp Thanks this.

Less than a hundred bucks will buy you a decent ac vacuum pump and cheap gauges. or if you prefer, just change the compessor and go tp the closest shop to have it vacuumed and charged.

Ill have to pick one up then ill put it in. Online im finding them for almost 700? When i just called the one near louisville they have it for 80

That is a huge fluctuation in price. In my experience when process fluctuate by over a thousand percent, it's because an idiot cross referenced the wrong part number. You better check the guy in Louisville to make sure he really does have it for eighty bucks.
