I guess I'm just use to Freightliner. 2 days to get in the shop. 1-2 weeks to change a DPF filter. Anything like a rebuild is a month easy. So a week and a half seems fast to me. Glad your back up tho.

Out of curiosity, who told you lease guys needed all of it? I never heard anything but half. I put $1500 down, a little more than half, but we also had a guy who put virtually nothing down. I think everyone should have to at least something down, having some skin in the game will help to drive you to succeed, but I do like the fact that Mercer is willing to be helpful and loan you the money if you want.

    Bucktrucker Thanks this.

If they didn't want it crushed, they should have put it in a dry van

How's the box with the # 950 on it secured to the skid?

So I did my initial closing of my books for Aug last night, and discovered something that caught me off guard. August was my most profitable month to date (not highest grossing). Now near $2 a gal avg for fuel helped but I think a few of my other tweaks played major roles.

Now as many know I've been fighting with myself about buying a new truck or not. Well I was talking to my buddy on the Van side who was happy to inform me that he just spec'd and ordered the WS I've been thinking about. He said one thing that caught my ear. He ordered his through FTLR/WS dealer. I have always bounced my numbers off of lone mountain figuring a dealer would never touch me.

So I called my local WS dealer and talked to a salesman for about 15 mins, faxed a few documents and 2 hours later I get a call back saying I could be financed no problem. Seems paying off this truck via LP from the "Mega" I came from goes a LOOONNNGGG way in WS decision process. Anyway, they shot me some #s with a few variables (min down, min with est trade value, Max down with est trade value) so I could bounce them off my numbers and ensure I was comfy with them. Now I run my numbers off of profit and did not adjust for things like better MPG, lower taxes and maint cost or the likes. And of course I still needed to be able to pay the mortgages, kids school, cars and bikes etc. I also used my least profitable month July (I was stuck on 1 load for 29 days until I went on vacation in July). Needless to say, when I get home I'm going down and ordering my truck. Guess I'll wait a few more years for the shower.

Idk if they would I would have asked theme to shrink wrap it and then hide it with my tarp. Always hate it when I pull up and see carbord boxes .

I always throw a tarp over card board boxes. Keeps them from going any where.
