Veriha might hire new drivers. I think I remember hearing that during COVID, but idk. They're huge in Illinois and Wisconsin

And Halvor Lines runs all over the Midwest and probably has a regional type gig. I rarely see them outside of the Midwest

Edit: Just looked it up and Veriha definitely takes new drivers. Their 'career' page on their website has "I have my CDL" and "I'm looking to get my CDL" options

Paper Transport hires new CDL holders if you went through a school and have yours. They're all over central Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, etc.

They even have a decent amount of day cabs so they might have something local for you down the road

I'll piggyback off this and say Halvor Lines is a great company for new drivers. They offer a "Finishing course" for CDL holders who obtained it outside of their network.

Halvor Lines is NOT a great company, and hasn't been good for probably 25 years. Too much favoritism, politics and ### kissing is required to be successful here. Too many narcs that will stab you in the back for their own personal gain.

Pay is extremely low, even for a starter company.
No APUs but you are belittled for idling your truck too much.in summer or winter. Trucks are slow and dangerously underpowered, and most of them don't even do the the 65MPH they are advertising.

They will come up with any reason they can to take away your bonuses.

They are NOT midwest regional, they run all 48 states and Canada, and primarily from MN/WI to the Northeast and east coast.

And the reason you don't "see" many of them outside the midwest is that they are not huge like Werner or Swift, they have maybe 600 trucks, and all terminals are in MN, IA, and IN. They treat there drivers as bad as Werenr and Swift though, pay them like it too.

    Do not be fooled!
