It was a six placard load. One of the placards blew off the front of the trailer of all places. I had just stopped a hour before in troy IL. To confirm I was good. Because I usually get pulled into the mo scales house via the red beep beep beep.
The one that blew off was the 1903 placard. But all 6 where different number 8 hazmats.
The last violation is what has me confused. He told me. In lieu of having the 1903 placard. Because they where all #8. I could have just had a number 8 in its place.
The load was loaded as follows, in the nose on the left was a lighter pallet of unregulated then on the right was a tote of regulated. Then a empty pallet in front of it. And to its left another tote. This was followed on opposing sides for a total of 11 totes. Each tote had its individual strap. Strapping it to the wall. For a total of 11 straps. The unregulated was not strapped. As it was the most secure item on the wagon.
Yeah I didn't check that light on my mid trip inspection. But honestly. I don't if I would have fixed it on the spot.
I do not own the truck. I drive for a fleet owner leased to star.

I’m honestly just blown away that your haz permit was expired last summer! I’ve had a placard blow off before and been cited for it. Sucks but whatysh gonna do. However not having a valid haz permit is like driving on an expired cdl from 8 months ago. Not to mention not having the paperwork in the glove box.
alds and feldsforever Thank this. -
Yes I took for granted that land star would automatically send out new ones.
Guess I better go thru the permit book.
Are CSA points only issued on warnings and tickets? Or did I pick some up with these violations?77fib77 Thanks this. -
Do you have to strap every skid individually?
-
On hazmat loads loaded such as single double single. All singles must be strapped over the top. And then again at the end.

I told him he was braver than I climbing under a tank made in the 70s hauling acid.
He thought about it and just checked the brakes.
