Crete Carrier will do up to 8 weeks. First 4 weeks trainer sits in passenger seat the whole time. Now since you have some training already, they might cut you loose if you are comfortable and test out earlier. Good luck.

The yard training should definitely help your backing.

The only issue with the yard is they could only help for a hour and that was it

Practice, practice, practice. A trainer can't be with you long enough for you to become proficient. Stay with your company, use downtime to practice, and for God's sake, get out and look.

When I am waiting my turn at a customer, I practiced backing on a drop lot. 30 minute break...practice. End of the day, practice, waiting for a load, practice.

It takes about a year to really feel comfortable in our job regardless of what your weakness is. Can't have a trainer holding your hand that long...its time to do it yourself.
