    I'm guessing the two of them are friends and have been for some time for one to have that level of trust in the other's wherewithall to take care of his truck.

    Nope. Met him the first time on a Wednesday night and he wanted to know if I could start that night. I had plans and said I couldn't start until the next morning.

    What I had going for me was 24 years of employment starting in high school with one employer and 15 years of a "professional" career.

    I probably sound a little arrogant in my last post. I apologize.

    The point I'm trying to make is that if you have something to offer a company let them know it. Good companies want to hire good people.

    no new driver ever really knows what he wants out of trucking until he is in it for a lil while as it is so different from what perceptions are
    I think every rookie should do food service before their get up and go got up and went
    why wouldn't everyone want to fingerprint 10000 boxes a day

    I will definitely look into food service, have not ruled out anything yet. I just know I am going to make a commitment and want to make a good choice.
