to me getting a year experience is the most important part
everyone finds their niche
I would quit driving if I had to drive local Chicago every day
all my runs are 2200 miles TL gone 8 days home 3-4

This site is awesome and I'd be setting on the side of the road somewhere oos if it wasn't for what I've learned here. My boss has no clue about the current rules and regulations.
My big gripe is the attitude that you have to start out with a mega. It's that way in the whole industry but its not true.Dumdriver and Chi Town Steers Thank this. -
Cranky Yankee is correct, it may take 2 or 3 jobs to find your niche.
I tried food service and hated it with a passion; it damaged my back and the stress of dealing with customers that constantly try to steal from you so their inventory looks better. It makes their profits look higher if they can steal a case or two off each delivery since they didn't have to pay for it.
My niche was OTR,especially hazmat/tankers.Chi Town Steers Thanks this. -
