Do you think the companies care that you haven't had a perfect working career?
Are they judging your ability to drive for them solely on that?
I am concerned for myself in this situation because I have had a lot of jobs in my life. I am looking for any way to help me look better or get a chance to talk to someone before they decide to hire me or not.
Do trainers ever give letters of recomendation and does it mean anything to them?
Most money for a rookie?

they care about how much experience you have
less experience equals higher insurance cost to the company
and they care about your driving record
every lil ticket every lil scrape down the side of a trailer
will put you another rung down on the ladder to a good jobChi Town Steers Thanks this. -
I was hired by Trimac without tanker/trucking experience. I can tell you that they were very thorough in their interview process and actually required me to do two driver tests with two different trainer/ drivers. I think that being in the right area also makes a difference depending on what their demand is for that branch. I think from what I have learned that they like to see a solid work history with not much changing job to job. I am excited about the opportunities there and hoping to be in the 60K range but only time will tell. I also had an offer with Schneider Bulk division and was probably going there had Trimac not made the offer. I am very new to this and beginning their training program in a couple of weeks. It seems they are conducting some recruiting events in the Southern regions lately.
