I agree. It does show his speed in the video. 65 mph the whole time until actual point of impact. At the very least his company will mark it down as preventable.

You're likely correct but that's just wrong.Truckers don't have a fighting chance in today's america.

The driver is probably a young irresponsible woman that can't drive a big car. She got what she deserved. Hopefully she gets a little Camry.

The trucker has a dash cam and it has him not attempting to slow or slightly attempt miss in any way. Fire him, but let him keep his license. No points on his record. He should drive again. End of story.

I'm not sure the trucker could have prevented a crash altogether, but maybe could have or at least mitigated the crash damage. Hindsight is 20-20?

When others commit bone-headed moves around you, you do what you can, but usually you're also going to need some additional luck and perhaps the help of your personal angel who may or may not be there, protecting you from the unforeseen

I have to agree that while the car was the idiot, the trucker didnt try to avoid the situation. I also agree that he probably intentionally rammed the car. He had a lot of time to avoid the situation & made no attempt to do so.

What the video doesn't show is the truck driver checking to make sure everyone is o.k....then once he discovers they survived...threatening to beat their ### for being that stupid

How heavy was he or was his load top heavy? My reaction depends on what I'm currently hauling. I'm not rolling my rig for a stupid action. I'll avoid it as much as I can.
