Motorist does a uturn in front of semi

Now it possible taking that exit WAS the drivers evasive maneuver. Also he come to a complete stop with dash cam still reading 28mph and slowly dropping (relatively) he also came to a complete stop very shortly after impact I believe the driver saw it done for the exit while braking and did not realize the sub was going for the exit as well.
All speculation based on my observations of the video may never know.

Edit rewatched did not realize he was already in exit only lane... I still believe he had braked before impact

 

His non response was odd. I thought maybe his load was top heavy or maybe non baffled liquid. Or daydreaming who knows.

 

Lot of assuming goin on. I hate the cruise.

 

Our trucks used to run like that now it doesn't matter.

 

I think he was planning on taking the exit. And he could not fathom the u-turn vehicle taking the exit, too, hence the almost non-existent reaction. And if he was taking the exit, I have a hard time believing he would have been distracted with a phone at that time.

 

Trucker may have had unreported front end damage from hitting some fixed object and was just waiting for a situation like this to blame it on some idiot.

 

Sorry, I'm looking at the same video, and clearly, you can't accept you may be partially wrong, and I'll leave THAT at that.

 

I don't mean to rip on Patty, but in this case, and this has been seen before, but to make my point, there was NOTHING this truck driver could have done. In the original post video, the driver had more time than this.
