I'm thinking they can look you up online and see if your clear.

I didn't get a letter last time for a TWIC, just the renewal card. I dont recall getting a letter for hazmat. Just indiana dmv saying they got notified I'm good.

 

You may run into a problem; the email said your state, not all states. I had a driver who went from Florida to Indiana and didn't take the hazmat test in Florida, and the idiot he had in Indiana told him there was no record of his TSA clearance.
