I dream of getting a bigger sleeper, I have a flattop. But I wonder what difference mpg is between a mid roof and a full height pulling a deck.
Mpg difference between mid roof and Full condo?

1. Full condo is larger so there is gonna be more front surface hitting the wind, providing a greater resistance.
2. Again, condo is larger therefore it will be heavier.
Honestly, anything would be a step up from a flat roof.77fib77 Thanks this. -
Would also depend on what you primarily haul and the wheelbase of the tractor.

How often do you haul loads that are higher than a mid?

I have a mid roof fld classic and would really like a raised roof but in extreme heat raised roofs are very hard to cool .

I had a 2006 flat top Century that had a removable full fairing. I took it off for a few years pulling hopper then went back to dry van, but I couldn't put it back on right away as it was frozen to the ground. A few months after summer arrived I finally got around to putting it back on and saw an immediate 0.6 mpg improvement.
So the difference between a condo and a mid roof would be something less than that. Maybe 0.3 or 0.4 mpg.77fib77 Thanks this. -
It's almost .5 unless you are pulling high loads it will hurt your mpg

Not much. A half a mile seems to be normal for it but driving habits and conditions dictate most of what changes you will see.

Saw a friend with a flat top classic Pete go from a flat trailer to a conestoga - massive reduction in MPG.
Following him through construction, he was literally blowing cones over with the amount of air he was pushing.insertnamehere, Orangees and 77fib77 Thank this.
