My truck's digital odometer tracks it. Or I could use my gps to do it.

If you record your fuel and mileage it calculates mpg... "automatically".

If you're running paper and not using DDL, you could probably manage your HOS better.

I drove for 2 carriers that accepted DDL printed log pages.

I use a notebook at first & then later put it into my spreadsheet.

I used to use mygauges.com but I like to keep track of more info like splitting the tax from the cost, noting both the hours & mileage, how much wind or how mountainous the road was, etc

Fuel gauges from letstruck.com. Its free, they have an app....logs mpg history and price per gallon. Allows partial fillups. You can see life time, 90 day, 30 day etc. Also allows you to note things like speed, weight, area etc so you can learn what effects your mpg the most.

Scan gauge D. Plugs into your ECM port and keeps track of everything. plus you can remove fault codes.
