Not a bad idea for an emergency. Broke down on a Sunday in the middle of nowhere in sub zero temps. I think I’ll get one.

Yes I used one for a winter, best way to cheaply heat the cab of a truck you don’t own without idling. But it took a little effort to setup, I had a miniature bbq tank and I had the model that mounted on the green tanks like a lantern. Needed a fancy adapter but it was almost unable to tip over when it was set up and that (I think) 2 gallon tank would last ~200 hours and cheap to fill.

yes I vented at front windows and unless -20c or colder I would open a rear window as well. Did have to wait for the frost on the inside of the windshield some mornings though.

Glad that was not a good way to go. I had thoughts when I was about the same age with my gun. Sometimes it feels like it was a bad idea and others it seems it might have been a better way. Needless to say we are still here kicking and making mistakes just like everyone does in life. Here's to another who knows number of years we have left!

I have one I used in an insulated 8.5’x20’ cargo trailer I converted to dirtbike hauler/rv and had no issues. Even purchased an alarm sensor just in case and the heater worked great.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.
