I've seen postings on CL stating MultiGroup drivers welcome to apply.

They seemed legit

 

Looks like it's true. The company's Facebook page is being spammed by recruiters from other companies, much like when new century went belly up. I wonder what happened?

 

I came across an article online that says in October of 2014 they ordered 600 new Volvo trucks.

Seems with the economy and rates the way it is right now, maybe that big purchase is a reason?

 

They seemed the most professional of the "White Volvo Club", just my experience. Never want to see anyone lose their job, but those drivers could go across the street and get the same hood view in a heartbeat.

 

Market rates are depressed
I believe the trucks and trailers were leased.
How can you make money these days while leasing?
More failures coming.

 

Multi Group is out of business. I was a driver there for 3 years. They shutdown August 1st.

Last year they were spending money like crazy. Hundreds of new Volvo's and Cascadia's. Plus the purchase of another giant warehouse across the street from the main office.
