Agree, try to get the tickets downgraded if you can.
In the meantime, look for second chance companies.
Get this mess cleared before submitting applications so you know exactly what to put on the applications.
    How long before you graduate?
Where are you in WI? Maybe get some leads on jobs if we know your location.

I'll never say I'm perfect and the incident is a minor one. I know my job hunt after graduation is now 10x to 100x time more difficult in spite of how in demand people with CDL's are and can' t be picky, even if it's just a 2-day job of moving a few empty trailers around in a lot for pennies. I do thank you for the brutal honesty.

I'm in Southern WI and my graduation will be in May. I'll have to start looking into a lawyer, with all this positive talk. It's a shame that I don't know any. The jobs I was looking at were companies like Dorn, Esty and R&L Carries, even plausible Fedex Ground Freight - I encounter a lot of their drives in my current job.

No. You're absolutely correct. I don't like to be a repeat offender on any mistakes, and always, always do the utmost to learn from them - it's the least I can do with anything related with being behind the wheel, or anything in life for that matter.

When you look for a lawyer, make sure it's one that specializes in transportation/CDL law; they know what to do to get it switched from a moving to a non-moving violation. Preferably local to you...they'll know the prosecuting attorney's and have relationships.

Hang in there. You made a mistake and it sounds like you've learned something from it.

As far as the resident "doom and gloom" crown on TTR...you'll learn soon enough who to listen to and who to ignore.
We have some members here who either can't or won't post anything positive and helpful.

You're absolutely right. And even the 'doom and gloom' crowd all show are all a part of what I expect of trucking - all things have the good and bad. If I can't take their words and make them someway constructive or see value ( even if it is little ) in them online, how would I expect to do that in the world?

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Yea', I'm unsure what my area has for CLD related lawyers, but I know it has plenty of traffic ticket related ones for a worse-case scenario. I'll have to start searching up and calling firms to find the right one to represent me.

Submit as many applications as you can and you'll find a fairly decent job. The more applications the better.
Are you near Madison or Milwaukee; can you narrow it down a little. Lots of Wisconsin drivers on here that can give you leads to companies most of us haven't heard of.
Some companies are very strict and some just have, "acceptable driving record."

I'm south of Madison, near the WI and IL border to be specific. Yes, when job hunting I have quota of usual 10 at least per day, so when I start looking I'll be knocking out as many application as I can. Haha.
