My CDL and Drivers Licence Have Been Cancelled?

I finally got in contact with the DMV. So they told me that my driving school made some sort of error in the details while issuing my CDL and now my current CDL needs a new copy to reflect the correction of the error (the DMV said error in endorsements? No other details. I didn't fail any tests so ??).

They told me they sent me a physical letter in the mail saying I need to renew the CDL. Problem is : I've been on the road for several weeks. They could have called me or emailed me or something if this mess would mean I'm going to be out of work for over a month !!

Also told I can only get the renewed copy by appointment. The soonest appointment ? December 17th. Only thing I can do is check for people cancelling apointmentments to get an earlier date to get the corrected CDL.

Even when I do get it, it's basically Christmas. I'll need a new truck since I' have to give this one back to my company. Something tells me trying to get issued a truck on the holidays is a nightmare in of itself. I might as well wait until after Christmas if I can.

Thing is this totally Blindsided me. I have one more paycheck coming in tonight (and a meager one at that considering this trucks been in the shop for the better part of the last two weeks). Ill be able to buy my own food but no way can I make rent housing or myriad of other payments.

I'm hoping my relatives let me stay there the entire time. If not I'll be couch surfing at friends houses until I can get my CDL replaced.

 

I'm definitely not going to be staying out for this long again because this is absolute horse #### . I have to come home every month so I don't get blindsided again by something like this .

 

I have to leave the truck here and go back home to get the CDL renewed.

As to the details of how in the world someone missed a clerical error on my CDL for several months until they mailed me about the issue ? I have no clue whose fault that actually is. The DMV is penning the blame on my driving school . Im blaming the DMV for not promptly calling my phone and leaving messages telling me I need to replace my CDL before it gets cancelled..

My guess is it's people in all three (School, company , DMV) all collectively screwing up and not giving me enough notice to correct the issue before it imploded.

 

Why they can't just email me a temp driving certificate , #### knows. Its horribly frustrating. Its just a massive error in communication .if they simply called me and left a message I would've had time to make an appointment a month in advance , get routed home , yet the liscence renewed , and be on my merry way . That's why I blame the DMV for just sending me a piece of mail when I'm a #### OTR truck driver . Send me a ####ing email or call me. Come on!
