    If you can't get in and out of the dock area at a SUPER WALMART, you have bigger problems my friend. There is more room at most of those places than anywhere you will ever deliver. Good luck to you! I am bowing out of this thread:biggrin_25514:

    You'd be surprised at the backing problems and rediculous situations I've had in 6 months , sometimes I feel like I've gotten worse instead of improved my backing skills and fitting through tight spaces

    I did , it turns out my driving school was supposed to issue my CDL with the automatic only restriction but they screwed up the paperwork somehow and the DMV gave me one without restrictions initially.

    Now why it took them 6 months to actually realize this and notify me I have no idea .

    The real issue is that the DMV sent me one measly piece of paper mail to warn me right after I had left to go on the road for 8 weeks straight. By week 8 I got called by my company saying my liscence was cancelled and THEN I found all this crap out after being on the phone with the DMV all day long.

    If the DMV had simply called or emailed me it would've been a non issue.

    DMV uses mail because IT IS IMPORTANT BUSINESS. Most very important notices and letters come by mail: IRS letters, jury summons, voter registration, US DOT letters, etc.

    I understand your frustration with receiving one measly letter when you're on the road. I get it. Something similar happened to me.

    My state just cancels your previous drivers license when you get your CDL. Your CDL basically becomes both your regular drivers liscence AND your commercial driving licence. Although I believe you can still use your previous drivers license for identification purposes

    Here in WA I was able to walk in to the DOL and renew. CDL holders don't need an appointment.
