I get 34's at home. Also any I ask for off. They'll even arrange a 34 in another place I want. They're very agreeable.
I'm thinking about asking for 2 full days off when a 34. But that would cut into making money. Maybe here and there?

That doesn’t sound to bad. I’ve thought about looking into this account but I’d be curious what the normal days off are on average.ABRO Transport Thanks this.

Hehe.... You're in Grand Island... I stopped in there a whole bunch. Deliveries, 10's at Bosselmans. You don't have to worry. Don't bother to ask until you get to North Platte. Chuck is fantastic. They will treat you the way you want. You'll get by home a ton.
I've taken a ten or two here... Didn't bother to go home.ABRO Transport and Lonesome Thank this. -
I actually live in Lincoln now I just haven’t updated my profile. I’ll go do it now. Haha!ABRO Transport and WesternPlains Thank this.

My trailer door lock was new when I got it. After nearly three years it gets a bit sticky when the road salt has been caked on it, but otherwise opens and closes just fine.
I've been thinking about lubricating it, but have held off since the most it ever needs to break loose the salt is a smack of the palm against the lock part, knocking it against the flat edge that protects the lock from being cut with standard cutters.ABRO Transport, Lonesome and WesternPlains Thank this. -
If you are running on account, the work can be very regular. I'm an o/o, but I'm the only o/o on the account I'm on, and don't have any special operational priorities.
During cold weather months, I generally wake up at 0500, roll by 0600, and shut down by around 1900 on most days. Almost every load is drop/hook, and our drop times are rarely an issue. I take most of my 34's mid-load.
During warmer weather I generally drive an extra hour, starting earlier, since I don't have a need to wait for plows to get things cleared up from overnight. Get up by about 0400, roll by 0500, shut down before 1900.
That's how I operated on this account when I was a company driver too.ABRO Transport, Lonesome and WesternPlains Thank this. -
Don't know why my message didn't get posted? I'll repeat it....
Lincoln is better. Ton's of runs that direction. Can park at headquarters in Lincoln for time off. Or drop your trailer there when you go home. Can leave your truck there for work to be done. Go home. Would work out really good for you. You could also leave your car in Lincoln.ABRO Transport Thanks this. -
I’ll give them a call tomorrow and see what they say. I definitely appreciate the informationABRO Transport and WesternPlains Thank this.
