Been a few days since ive had time to respond. Spending long days on a muddy yard in the really cold temps tends to wear yah out. Thursday and Friday consisted of Sight and Blind side offset backing. Friday we did the same but moved into Site side Parallels. I do want to add that every instructor is really cool and for the most part laid back. Sometimes their instructions are unclear and tend to be different from instructor to instructor. However all of them are extremely helpful. Bring your cold weather gear and waterproof boots. Rain gear if you have it.

Monday and Tuesday- Week 2. Yard in the morning for offsets, parallels, and 90 degree ally docking. After lunch Bobtailed on Monday. Tuesday city driving with a trailer. Shifting sucks so much on the downshift. Other than that- complete blast.

I forgot to mention that today i had to call USA Truck and speak to an orientation lady for my setup call. Make sure your references are tight. You make this call once your references have been verified. You will have to fill out another reference sheet once you get to C1. I put down the same references that i used on my DS app. Just a heads up.

When it snows- the trucks aren't driven by students. They yanked a few of us 2nd weekers to go ahead and do the Pre-Trip Inspection for the state. I passed thankfully, even tho i wasn't supposed to take it until next week on Wednesday or Thursday. However i got it done and no longer have to worry about it.

Sorry that its been a few days since i have posted anything. But there really isnt much to speak of. Everyday since my previous post has been the same. Practice practice practice. Driving and yard maneuvers. But tomorrow will determine if the practice has worked or not. Tomorrow is my CDL driving test, and yard maneuver test with the state. If i pass then I get my CDL.

    JustSonny Thanks this.

Good luck kcmofire. Remember on your driving test to GOAL if asked to back up. Also, if your tester simulates a flat tire; remember to ask steers or drives as with the steers you CAN NOT hit the brake pedal as you could loose control whereas with the drives you can. When you stop get out and retrieve the reflective triangles and set them up. Keep up the good attitude and have confidence in yourself.
