you’ll be paying your own taxes.
Why do they want escrow, your a company driver not lease op,
you’ll be screwed out if that money.(2250) and your paying for occupation insurance.
Check Schneider. -
Pretty bad, frankly. Is your record so screwed up that you can't find something better?
Siinman, Concorde, gentleroger and 2 others Thank this. -
I don't usually recommend 1099 companies, unless the driver has some issues and is having problems finding work.
@Ridgeline has extensive business acumen and is one to ask about the company you posted.Sirscrapntruckalot Thanks this. -
Avoid. 1099s are by and large cancer and that one looks pretty on the surface but i can so so many ways they can screw you with it. Just off the top of my head pay is absolute dog ####. No dog #### is not enough. That is an unmucked military latrine after 20 years of active use next to a taco bell constantly shut down for health code violations levels of ####.
.63 a mile even at 3400 miles is 2k which looks nice, but aftet taxes, health insurance, fuel, reapirs to the truck, all the little fees for stuff like your pre pass and such these places almost always tack on you will be lucky to keep half, likely way less then that. And thats assumeing you GET 3400 miles. Next 100% no touch is likely containers. That means long waits tight quarters a lot of stress banged up trailers that are going to destroy your psp if inspected and worse.
Third, escrow is for stuff like repairs and the like thats for an O/O like me with my own rig leased onto a company incase of needing #### like tires or paying fines or whatever. It vaires but thats the gist. That 2k is basically gone. And the insurance you get if your hurt? Most of those 1099s have it set up they get to take ALL of it. Infact they HOPE you will get hurt or killed. They get a huge payday.
1099s are generally designed to bend you over and run a train up the ### like the pretty boy in prison that just dropped the soap. And that MIGHT be more ligit but from nearly every 1099 ive talked to. Your going to get hosed and i highly doubt you found the one exception to that ruleSoulScream84, Siinman, TD3 and 1 other person Thank this. -
