Are you picking your loads or having a corrdinator handle your load selection?

Both. Im constantly looking at the board. I pick what I want. If I don't see anything I call the coordinator and tell him to find me something. So far it's working pretty well.

Did you sign up for the 37 state fleet? Just mainly trying to stay in a particular area like midwest? You are renting a trailer right? Was it brand new? Thanks

I'm 37 state (the call it mid America). Basically it's everything east of I-35 with a few exceptions. I'm also in the short haul fleet so most of my loads are 450 miles or shorter. I can run longer ones if I want but the shorter ones make it easier to get home.

I did get a trailer. You're not renting it. You're buying it. I got a 2016 great Dane 48x102 flat. It's a freedom LT. Comes with 2 tool boxes and 12 sliding winches. You can get a used one but the payment is still the sam . You just have fewer payments with a used one.

New is $435 a month plus $100 a month for your escrow. The term is 60 months. At the end of your 60 months, you'll have $6,000 in escrow. That will take care of the $6000 balloon payment.

If you go used, let's say they have a trailer that has been used for 12 months. You owe $535 a month for 48 months instead of 60. However, you will be short $1200 on the balloon because you won't be paying into escrow for 60 months. So, that $1200 will come out of your pocket. Basically multiply the amount of payments left by 100. Subtract that from $6,000 and that's what you will owe out of pocket if you get a used one.

They all have a 4 year manufacturer warranty on everything except tires and brakes. If you get one used and it's a year old then you only get 3 years on the warranty. This is through great Dane. Ot mercer
