Cool trip, RD! You're getting out to my neck of the woods. I'm from Denver. Sure do miss the west! Enjoy that windshield time. Quite a long trip for you compared to what you're used to with Superior!

    rubberducky68 Thanks this.

Hey there RD, been reading your post on here, kinda like what you have to say about superior. Question for you, do you deal with the greer, sc terminal at all. I spoke with the operations manager there the other day and he sounds like a real nice fellar. I have not seen much on here about greer. any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and be safe out there.

Greer is a great terminal. And yes the people there are really friendly and nice. Greer is a training facility as well as a terminal. I had to go there when I first hired on for safety, hazmat training and certification. I spent a week there that time. It was fun and I learned a lot. I have been through there a few times to deliver or pick up loads. Dispatch is great. Good people and a great terminal to run out of.

Yeah, it was a long drive for sure. Weather through Wyoming was horrible. Have been sitting here in Salt Lake since Thursday afternoon. Customer can't hold the product. They said they will call me when they are ready for it. Oh well, at least I am getting paid for sitting and resetting my 70 hour clock.

    Twicebit Thanks this.

That sounds like the same place I delivered to a few years back. They backed me into a dock 3 times and unloaded part of the tank each time. They were mixing my product with a couple of others basically using me as the storage tank. I was at that plant 26 hours paid hourly the whole time.

I will be heading out Tuesday to Iowa City for a drop hook Wednesday by 14:00. Maybe we will cross paths if you get routed to Markham.

I don't mind coming out here but I just wish the customer would be able to take the load in a reasonable time. I am not one to sit so I am about to go stir crazy. Log Ops has already sent me a tank wash in Markham so more than likely we will see each other at Markham providing I get out of Salt Lake City soon.

I got on the wifi and watched football yesterday so that killed a lot of boredom :) Guess I will watch some more today...

Great post, have gotten a lot of info so thanks. Did my online application for Superior this past week, so we'll see how it goes.

I hope you are in a hotel. I won't go to Markham. This load is dedicated out and back.
