I've left voicemails and emails and I think my recruiter has called me back once... anyone else have this issue?

Perhaps it is time to look at a different outfit? He/she could be on vacation, out sick, no longer employed there or for some reason has decided you wouldn't be a good fit. How long a time frame are you talking here, and how many different times have you called? And why?

Perhaps there are things going on that you have no idea of. Again, don't limit yourself to one company, but keep looking.

I talked to him Thursday and he was supposed to call Friday. I left a few email and two messages between now and then

Good HELL! Give the guy a chance to call you back! There is a big, in fact a HUGE difference in showing you are interested, and being a PITA! Maybe he wasn't there on Friday, or was in meetings all day long. Believe me, you are not the only recruit he is dealing with. Things happen, just relax and give the guy a chance.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't keep looking though. I know that when you are sitting at home, on pins and needles wondering where the next check is coming from, that it seems the whole world is dragging their feet. Just be patient.

Call the general recruiting line and just ask whoever answers "what is the status of my application?" They should be able to tell you what's up. If you're not one of "their" applicants, they might be limited in what they can do for you, but they SHOULD be able to tell you what your status is.

x2. Yup. I've heard of pre-hires tanking just before people ship out to orientation for some companies. That and some people are knocked out at orientation for one reason or another. If I were you...I'd have a few back-up options in place, just in case your first choice doesn't pan out.

I'm not sure how fast prime moves but the last I heard he was trying to set me up a date to ship out. Unfortunately, the only backups I've heard from are CRE and Swift

See I am surprised that they take so long. I know when I filled my application out 5 minutes later I called to ask if they had received it (as they told me to do when I first called) they did my interview right there and set up my ship date. When I called she was already pulling my driving records. Crazy to think that some companies are extremely slower than others. You would figure if they want a driver their system would be much quicker. It is not like they have just started the recruiting process yesterday.

Is there anything on your record that would cause Prime not to call you back?

He was supposed to call you on Friday but didn't and now it's early Monday and no response am you have left a few messages and emails. I understand a little concern but maybe there is a family emergency or personal issue on the recruiter side. It just Monday and you spoke on Thursday so technically a 1 business day has past since they work Monday thru Friday relax man js
