So I got off the phone with both FFE and KLLM. Training pay for FFE is 500 a week and six weeks with the trainer. KLLM is the same except 800 a week for six weeks with a trainer.
EPES is on my list and hopefully they have some openings as well. I emailed DOT foods and left them a message for them to call me back.
It seems like my best shot is going to be at the end of summer. this will work out beautifully because it will allow me a chance to spend the majority of the summer with my sister and her son.

Just got off the phone with Sage out of Fort Pierce and it looks like I’m gonna have to do the whole entire schooling again. I have no problem with this. As a matter fact I am very happy. Some classroom time, some home time with doing electronic courses. Have to talk to the family tonight about this one.

Heard back from DOT and are saying that I am out of range of the terminals and drop yards.

Has anybody on this form driven for AMX out of Ashford AL. Also, I’m leaning towards sage truck driving school.
dwells40 Thanks this. -
Has anybody heard of the company suit? Out of Alabama.

Florida Rock Tank Lines
What about them?
I’ve seen their trucks a ton when I used to run Florida.
I’ve seen the Suit trucks, but know nothing of them. -

The above is all "bass-ackwards"......
Instead--pick a/the company with which you will (most likely) drive.
THEN--call/contact said company---and ask what CDL school(s) from which they like to hire.
Put another way-->chose the bride--then the church. Ca-pish?
Forget Florida Rock and Tank Lines.
They don't hire beginning drivers--and they only pay "by the load"....with no minimum weekly pay guarantee.
AMX Trucking (Ashford, AL) is a good choice. They recently started their very own CDL school, for new drivers. Thus--they now hire beginners. They have above average reviews. They will more likely keep you in the southeast.
I see their rigs up here quite often. In this area--they are one of the fleets "to watch".
How do I know the above?
My latest gig up here has been hauling fuel. I see FL&T rigs all the time, and talk to their drivers.

Don't get discouraged. DOT can be pretty picky.
