I go to take cdl test tuesday. If I pass pretrip and backing test but fail road test do I have to do them all over or just the road test? How many times can I take the cdl test?

If you pass everything except the road test you'll have to do the air test again before the drive test.
Truckingbiker and Go-Go Thank this. -
You will have to do the pretrip again for sure. They "might" not put out the cones and have you do the straightline, offset, and 90 degree again if you passed them already but you should still be prepared to do the entire test again just in case. Ask your examiner when you go take the test, they will know.
I think in NC you have 3 chances to pass.Truckingbiker Thanks this. -
Thanks hope I can get it before three tries, but I wish you didnt have to do all over again.
-
So did you pass?
-
Wow in NC you have to do pre-trip? In TX all you have to do is eight-step brake and the road test.
-
In Tennessee and North Dakota, you do the whole thing all over if you miss any part of it (i.e. fail road test, you start back with pre-trip and backing before going on the road again).
-
Yea I passed, they said if you pass any test then fail the next dont have to do the one you passed over.

Congratulations! I know its a good feeling.
Truckingbiker Thanks this.
