Not sure where to start...
About two weeks ago I quit my job and I am in the process of selling my house. In the meantime it's boxing everything up and getting the UHaul loaded.
I have no idea where I want to go. My house doubled in value and I did well in the stock market. After the house sells, I will have about $140k to my name but no idea what to do after that.
I've been staring at a blank map of the US. Throwing spitballs at random states I want to start completely over. I am considering either North Carolina or Texas. I am super hard pro 2A and want to look for a state that is friendly to transferring my CCW and allows open carry.
Then the usual suspects of affordable living and job opportunity. I also never ever ever want to use a snow shovel again in my entire life.
Any thoughts?

You could come down here (southwest Missouri) you can get a lot of house for 140k or a decent house and a few acres of land as far as the ccw no need for it they court approved constitutional open and conceal now snow on the other hand we had a fairly hard winter and got a dusting 3 times and a couple of inches twice I think and some freezing rain. Just a thought

Arizona. Constitutional Carry--open or concealed, no permit required. Beautiful weather. Awesome scenery. Lots of stuff to see and do. Get down here quick before the Kalifornia refugees drive up the housing prices any more!

Uhhhhh...
There is a whole BIG world out there.
Why are you staring at a map of the U.S.?

@road_runner
If you just have to stay in the U.S....
FLAGSTAFF, AZ is spiritually and physically beautiful! -
And just had snow yesterday and is expensive.
FxF and Saia hiring there.
Just south of there is the Verde Valley area, warmer with mountains. The Clarkdale cement plant sees a lot of bulk operators coming and going to all part of the state. Over one range is where Gearjamming Penquin roosts, Prescott Valley also has potential.
If you're thinking of AZ, rent a car and just drive around randomly for a while (get an SUV so you don't miss the fine dirt roads here), you can find about any climate/terrain here. Lots of trucking work, esp if you're willing to drive fuel or bulk.Last edited: May 3, 2018
