Get Doubles/Triples, Tanker, in addition to the required General, Combination, and Air-Brakes endorsement. Lots of freight requires tanker even if you pull dry van or reefer trailers. Tanker is an easy test to pass. All of the endorsement tests are free online. I really like TruckerCountry dot com. This web site also has free online tests for all endorsements. If you are getting by, focus on finding the company that fits your needs, nobody can pick for you, then start studying the state CDL manual and taking the practice tests. I'll post a link to a method used by schools that train pilots to pass tests for the FAA.
