Here’s the first thing that needs to be clarified..

Is this going to be a repossession on private property..truck stop etc? Florida isn’t California, someone shows up trying to take something they’ll likely end up dead. Unless the bankrupt renter willingly wants to give it back in a civil manner you should call a tow/recovery company. They will know how to handle it legally and safely.

I’ll give you an option so you can at least know you have possession back. I have a secured gated lot in Melbourne you could have it dropped by a recovery company and take it from there.

From there you could have someone drag it to SoCal. Seriously, don’t pay much if anything.

    PM me if you want.
Please note, I have zero interest in bringing it to CA. You’d be better off buying a new trailer than paying what I’d charge :)

It would be about a $7500 move if my truck would take it and if I have a truck in southern florida.

    Funny, that’s what I was thinking $7,500-8,000.
Not even worth loading up out of Florida for 80 cents a mile. Maybe something along the way but even then It probably isn’t worth the aggravation. I’m not setup for PO so I’d probably just deadhead back to Florida.

    Siinman Thanks this.

But… But what about the fun and adventure?

And could probably grab some amazon trailers back for 1,65/ mile..

Maybe if they covered up the giant ##### logo I’d consider :)

I don’t know how the PO world works so it really wouldn’t interest me.

I did one in 8 years and it was for JB Hunt.
GA to MN where I needed to go to pickup a new reefer. Paid something like $1,400..basically covered fuel and coffee.
I was leased on at the time so the carrier took care of the insurance end.

Contact some of the big LTL carriers they may move it for free.
We used to load them and deliver it when empty but no time line.
Must be road ready.... Good rubber and lights working ...
Current plates and proplr paper work...

Did that years ago. Whiteford leasing was going out of business in Indiana. The place I worked for hooked up some empty van trailers, and hauled them to a LTL carrier in Chicago, who loaded them, and hauled them to Minnesota, their final destination.

    Concorde Thanks this.

I had time to think on it, i think you should do it, the amazon trailer, at least once.
everyone see a big pete pulling an amazon trailer and they’d really think they’d seen the light at the end of the tunnel…

W923, Cattleman84 and Concorde Thank this.
