Generallt for a real ticket, goes against mvr, they have to stop you. Cameras are like city ordinance violations. If they are potentially going to deprive you of your driving privileges then they need to verify it's really you.

You're good as long as you weren't on I95 sb in FL. Otherwise you're screwed

Or on the side of the highway trying to repair a flat tire when some minion drives by, nothing beside him or behind but still hammers the right lane right on past you kicking up dust!

Florida anticipated drivers running the scales at 60 that's why they built them the way they did with the high speed bypass lane. They knew the ELD mandate would be cutting some drivers' time short and that's why they understand a driver whipping through the weigh station. Probably low on hours.... can't be bothered to slow down for an inspection.

Ok then you should weigh the pros and cons before you slow at a scale. If you slow down and comply it could be the one thing that makes your new ELD show you as out of hours and illegal. Maybe hauling ### through them really is the best option. :)

Of course this idea of racing up and then slamming on the brakes on the scale is best accomplished when pulling a loaded smooth bore tanker.:D

Too funny. It sucks to wait for the slosh to settle to get an accurate read at some places. I still haven't had an issue at a weigh station though. I think they see tanker and green light us knowing the pain in the butt we are.
