Local food devilries and beverage deliveries can have you home almost every day . Its manual work but keeps you in shape and close to home . Most I spend from home is 2 weeks , when I was a company driver and I asked to go home they either got me home or I parked the truck at the terminal and left . I had that luxury but some dont .
Need words of encouragement.

One day, I came into the office and it was announced to all drivers that hometime was going to be suspended until after the first of the year, which was when things would slow down. And this was in October. Infuriated, I decided to make plans to move on.
My advice to you is to stay the course for a year and then weigh your options.
A year's experience is all you need to get a much better job.
Make all your rookie mistakes with Western Express. They love rookie mistakes. And for goodness sake, teach yourself how to back and to do it well. Don't end up in someone's YouTube video with an overlay of the Jaws movie theme playing as you hunt for a parking space.
Lastly, take pride in your job. It was routine for me to find broken equipment, lights that were out, or even flat tires when I picked up a new trailer somewhere. I've even picked up trailers that had absolutely no brakes. Don't be that guy.Last edited: Jul 8, 2019

Hey folks. Give me a little time to get wound down. I'm stopped at the Petro on exit 240 on I55 in Illinois. I'm hungry and dirty. I need a shower. I will get back to you when I feel clean and full.

Did you not read any reviews about the company before starting? And no you don’t have to “pay your dues” to get a better job. That’s just more crap to keep people working for these clowns.
TokyoJoe and dtj12231989 Thank this.
