You were quick to try and assume what i must have done. That's fact. It's also incorrect. Never have i once claimed or thought to know more than anyone else or be better than anyone else. No one even brought up where i currently work. You did. And nor do i care how much you make, where you work, or how much free time you'll have in a year. You don't need to pull your pants down for me. I'm just responding to the OP. Speak when spoken to. You might learn a thing or 5 from someone.

My personal favorite is guys that are actually looking forward to the economy slowing so they can go " I told you so."

This just shows where someone's heart and mind is.

I banked a truck load of money this year.

Notwithstanding that, pulling my trusty dry van, three years ago leased onto a guy where I wasn't even picking my own freight still made very good money. Took some loads to get me from A to B, some didn't make a lot, but always made.
And I watched for 3 months a full 1/3 of all spots in truck stops occupied with empty flatbeds, while I trucked on.

Wanna make money? Go make it.

Man why didn't I think of that.

Do best with the hand you're dealt. Glad I'm not in the business of watching rates. What's cheap for you isn't so much for the next truck. But at least majority of guys aren't okay with running sub $1. If that ever becomes the norm all around, you will be in trouble.
