New Century Transportation Shuts Down

Wasnt New Century the company a year or so ago that was recruiting 3-person team trucks? Im guessing didnt work out so well?

 

ABF and Groendyke were out there recruiting drivers in person. Sounds like vultures circling a dead carcass on the shoulder of a highway.

Saw several of them this AM in PA so Im guessing not--and if the other investors didnt shove Munshnagel out--they would be fine--He all but started NCT out of pocket--after MANY of jevic old customers were unhappy with what went on after the buyout--Harry just had to wait until the non-compete portion of the sale to yaller was finished...Mans made $$$$$at everything he has ever touched...

 

If any NCT drivers are coming to the yard to turn in their trucks be advised there are police there that will not let you leave unless you need to go to Willingsboro. They are not checking trucks numbers or trailers just piling it all up to sell it. Was told to just leave keys in the truck and pack up car and leave. Took some photos today from the yard.

BTW if you dont live near Westampton I think you are F**Ked. Dont know how anyone is going to get home.
There were recruiters from Estes, Hartt, NFI and Herman parked at the old Subaru warehouse talking to drivers.

Basically noone working inside (5 or 6) tops and Fedex, Estes etc were picking up freight.

I think I would go home and get my stuff out first if I had enough fuel to cover the trip.

That's a sad deal but what do u mean no one can leave unless heading to Willingsboro?How long are drivers suppose to stay there?I suppose NCT isn't paying for drivers way home are they?Which should be against the law.

 

I meant once the tractor hits the yard you cant leave with it. So empty it elsewhere before bringing it in.
