If you want to go with a mega carrier check out Werner, swift, crengland, prime, crst, schneider if you don't want to go with none of these check out old dominion, yrc etc i heard ups start hiring new drivers anybody else most likely required at least 6 months experience or more first you need to get your experience somewhere, good luck.

for your own sake, do some homework on here, see which companies you should stay away from.
did you look at any companies before you got your cdl? seems that the first thing students do

Hey I am a student myself in New Jersey I wouldn't buy a tractor yet I know alot of friends who did that but didn't understand the business and highways and ended up failing turn to company drivers. I am not saying it can't be done but you need to have a certain amount of capital and trucking business know how I would go to the places you mentioned and I would apply to companies even if they require 1 year because sometimes they do take new drivers. But I do wish you the best where in NY are you.

 

Sounds good to me I will start my search end of December since I am graduating in January hope everything goes smoothly keep us posted be safe. I use to live in Brooklyn until about 2 months ago so familiar with the area.
