Just got my CDL and am older (58 y/o). Looking in the Harrisburg, PA area. Would like a regional job, preferably heading south. I hear so much stuff, good and bad, about trucking companies I just don’t know what to believe. I figure I’ll pay my “dues” for 1 or 2 years and then see where it goes but would like to start with a company that I could stay with, if possible. Is there any such company out there? Thanks! Kenn

First, keep your record clean for a few years and go to Wal-Mart. Now for the actual advice. Penn tank lines, dana, carbon express are a few. I'll post more when I think of them. Also, tmc and Schneider or even Prime. That's all I got because I'm an oo.

Webster no longer runs out of the C&S warehouse or ES3 as it's called. It's all JB Hunt DCS now.

Thanks, dgman. Sygma’s not far (I’m in Etown) and the others are pretty close, too. One of the things I’m interested in is more training. It seems like there are a ton of tricks to make driving more safe and tricks to do it well, too.
