Hello everyone, sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, this is only my second post.

I obtained my CDL on 2/2/18 after 5 tries, yes, 5 tries, I know. First time I failed offset right skill, 2nd time air brakes, 3rd time road test, and 4th time air brakes again..when I passed, the DMV examiner said I was going a little too slow on turns, but everything else was good. I never driven a manual before attending my CDL school lol.

I don’t have a preference as to OTR, local, etc since I don’t have any kids or a spouse. But I would like to know which companies hire recent CDL grads with no experience and will train you in southern CA.

    Thank you

Couple dozen to choose from that hire new cdl grads from California.
    Freymiller - www.drive4freymiller.com - refrigerated trucking.
    Navajo Express - refrigerated
    Dynamic Transit - refrigerated
Mountain Valley Express - line haul
    KKW Trucking - dry van
    James H. Clark & Son - refrigerated
ALTEC Industries in Pomona - dry van
Gatica Transport in Los Angeles - dry van - intrastate (stays within California)
Gardner Trucking - Truckload, LTL, Dedicated, Refrigerated & Port Drayage
    East-West Inc. - www.goeastwestinc.com - dry van
All the above hire new cdl grads from California even though the headquarters may be outside California.

If you see "experience required" on any of those websites, ignore that and apply anyway. Some websites don't openly advertise they will hire a new cdl grad.

@Chinatown wondering if you can give me a little assistance or anyone else thst may read this. I'm looking for a company that pays for cdl school. I have found a lot but they are mostly for reefer. I'm interested in pulling dry van and staying in the South central, Southeast, and maybe Midwest regions. Anyone have any suggestions on some companies out there I can contact also I'm from Arkansas thanks in advance.

Congratulations on getting your CDL. When you talk to the company recruiters, probably be better if you didn't mention needing so many attempts to pass you cdl test. None of their business anyway. Good luck to you.

    That's good advice.
"How'd it go in cdl school?"
    "Great, I really enjoyed it."
