Brian, I'm more than skeptical. I'm an unbeliever. So many variables, temperature, elevation, destination, altitude - that must be one dang smart computer. Not.

I laugh at the guys using the Tire Pass. I guess the first one is free but why do it again?
Had a flat this morning at a PFJ during the walkaround. Went in and got a business card of a repair place, they wanted $160 just to come out. $700 if it needed a new tire. I said, hold on I think it is just a bad valve stem. Drove the inside tire up on some 2x4's and got my air line out and aired it back up to 100 psi. Drove 22 miles down to the TA and got a new valve stem put in. Forgot to say it was down to 90 psi when I got there so yeah just a $49 fix. But the stupid guy put the wheel on wrong so I can't check the pressure because the Centramatics is in the way. Will have to pay another tech $13 bucks to take the wheel off and rotate 2 lugs over and put back on. -
couldn't you add oil to those from the front without jacking the cab
-
I might be wrong but I was thinking when I started in a 1969 Freightliner you had to jack it!KandeeKane9 Thanks this.

I think the tire pass lane is a good thing...It is for convenience for me, I get all the pressure checked and added in 18 tires in the time it takes to fill the tanks and clean the windows. I have the air line in the side box and spent many times checking and airing up all the tires So I am not lazy
However, the cost of a tire is out of my pocket, So I use the tire pass service a couple times a week to keep them where they should be to save on wear.
Plus when the fuel lines are two and three deep, You just go in the tirepass lane and jump to the front.HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thanks this. -
I think prime has an automatic tire inflation system in their trucks. Even a computer that beeps at the driver if one is loosing pressure rapidly
-
Bag Phone??? funny you should mention those, still have mine and it will still dial 911. makes for one hell of a conversation, when I hand it to someone who asks to barrow my phone. LOLKandeeKane9 Thanks this.

Drove a 1973 Cabover Freight shaker and if my memory is right it had a trap door built into the top left corner ( left side facing the truck) , turn the little knob and open the door to get to the dip stick right beside top of radiator. That's been a day or 3 ago though.
Remember the O'l worn shifters that would snag the floorboard when letting the cab back down? Before cable shifters.
TankerP and Cranky Yankee Thank this. -
i think my first COE had 2 dipsticks one i could check without lifting cab
and with a 671 you wanted to check the oil -
I didn't know you could get fuel in that lane too? Wow OK that might make it worth it when the bottom feeders are taking their 30 minute breaks 3 trucks deep in all the rest of the lanes. How much is it to use that lane?
